Technological advancements could lead to quantum internet and boosted nanoscale research centers.
The Department of Energy (DOE) announced new projects last week which will develop new quantum computing technologies. The projects selected by the DOE will receive federal research funding to develop new quantum information science programs at five Nanoscale Research Centers. The projects will also research the possibility of a quantum internet.
Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm stated, “Harnessing the quantum world will create new forms of computers and accelerate our ability to process information and tackle complex problems like climate change. DOE and our labs across the country are leading the way on this critical research that will strengthen our global competitiveness and help corner the markets of these growing industries that will deliver the solutions of the future.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Department of Energy officials as they seek to technology projects to support.
- That the scientists of the funded projects would be able to utilize the grants to find breakthroughs in quantum technologies.
- That Secretary Granholm would be given wisdom and strength as she leads her department.
